For example, the web address “www.google.com” has an IP address “216.58.216.164”.  You’d prefer google.com as it is easier to remember a name rather than a long number. It usually consists of a maximum of sixty-three (63) characters with one character minimum.

It is associated usually with the IP address. And speaking of an IP address, it’s a unique address that computing devices like personal computers, tablets, and smartphones use to identify themselves and communicate with other devices in the network.
